Genevieve Leahy
About
Genevieve Leahy is the great-granddaughter of J. Harry Higgins, a noted painter of the Hudson River School. Painting has always been a part of her life. At the age of nine, she attended Pratt Institute. Prior to being a curriculum advisor and art teacher in New York’s public school system, she was a commercial artist and teacher in Pennsylvania. Her education includes the College of Mt. St. Vincent, St. Joseph's College, Pratt Institute, The Brooklyn Museum of Art School, and Brooklyn College. Her work has been shown at the Claire Dumphy Gallery and Parr Galleries in Manhattan. Genevieve has exhibited in all 19 FIPAP Biennial Art Shows.
