Edward Kai Chiu

Edward Kai Chiu is a first-generation Asian American artist who incorporates Eastern sensibilities with Western techniques in his paintings. Professionally trained as a physician, his understanding of natural forces and knowledge of scientific theory have both influenced his various projects over the past two decades. He is presenting new works inspired by the ubiquitous boardwalks that led travelers throughout Fire Island. The colors are evocative of the diverse characters from drag queens to leather daddies you may encounter along any stretch and the flora along each path.
